The reason that desalination isn't a great solution to reducing the amount of rising sea level is because, it would take a lot of power. It would also take up a lot of space. If you took an inch of water of the ocean and put it in a pool as big as the United States, it would be 50 inches high. So it is virtually impossible to desalinate enough water to make a big difference.Click on this link to go to a nifty video about roboticsThis year in FLL, the theme was Climate Connections. For the research project, we had to find how climate effects our community. First, we had to pick one of the geological signatures of global warming. After that, we had to find out what our community was doing about it. Then, we had to find another community with the same problem. Once we found that, we had to find out what they were doing about it in the second community. Once found, we had to create a solution to the geological signature that could be either local or global. Then, we figured out if it improved on already existing ideas, or if it was a totally new idea. Finally, we had to share our solution. This website is how we shared our idea. Thank you for coming to the website. For more information, click on the logo to go to the official FLL website.
